Story
On Saturday 12th of May fifty five of us gathered at the Mission Hall in Hill Mountain to walk for Hannah Gwilliam. It was the most fantastic day the sun was blazing and after a week of heavy rain and wind we did wonder if it might have been a swim as opposed to a walk! However God was gracious to us and the morning was spent taking in the beautiful local scenery, reminiscing and just generally enjoying one another’s company. I have to confess initially I thought we might manage to raise a few hundred pounds but to my amazement our total, as I write, is just over £1,400 which is a huge amount of money for such a small village! So an enormous thank you to all who took part, it really is an incredible achievement, let’s hope the money raised will God speed an immunisation to protect future generations from this crippling, life taking disease.
